Use case
How to compare AI spend with the provider invoice
Your records say one total, the provider invoice says another. Spendline records the difference; explaining it is still your team's work.
For a closed month, an owner uploads the provider invoice as a CSV with an amount column. Spendline sums it, compares the total with the month's closed total plus corrections already filed, and records any difference as one new adjustment row.
How it works
Spendline prices each call when it happens from its rate table, so an invoice can differ through a mid-cycle rate change, rounding, credits, or traffic that never passed through Spendline. The upload is one total per month, so combine providers into one file if you use several. Uploading the same bill again changes nothing, and a corrected bill files only the new difference. Original call records are never edited.
provider invoice reconciliation (september.csv):
invoice $12,516.20 vs Spendline $12,480.00
adjustment filed: +$36.20What to know before relying on it
This is an invoice-total comparison, not line-item matching. Spendline does not match invoice lines to individual calls or diagnose why the totals differ, and it is available only for closed months.
Why it matters
A ledger that is never compared with the real invoice is an estimate. Recording the difference as a new row keeps the gap and its resolution in the record.
Frequently asked questions
Can I run this today?
Yes, as an account owner on a closed month: open AI Close in the dashboard, pick the month and upload the provider invoice CSV.
What if the provider invoice is simply wrong?
The difference is recorded either way. Resolving it with the provider is outside Spendline; the per-call records are evidence you can use when you raise it.

Start with a guided 30-day free pilot on live production traffic. The 30 days start when your traffic flows through Spendline, not at sign-up. We agree the scope, success criteria and paid terms before you start. There is no Spendline subscription fee during the pilot; your model-provider charges still apply.
